Call to Artists
NADIANA Art Gallery x Fanana Banana -Collaborative Exhibition

Artist Open Call & Description:
Our Shared Stories: Movement, Memory, Belonging:
Our Shared Stories: Movement, Memory, Belonging explores the ways movement- across lands, cultures, and generations- shapes how we remember, relate, and belong. Through stories carried by migration, displacement, return, and exchange, the exhibition reflects on how identity is formed and reformed over time. Memory becomes both anchor and motion, holding traces of place while allowing transformation.
The exhibition invites artists to engage with narratives of journey and connection, whether rooted in personal experience, ancestral memory, or shared collective histories. Artists may consider themes such as home and homeland, loss and continuity, inherited traditions, adaptation, and the spaces in between. Works may respond to physical movement or emotional migration, examining how cultural knowledge, rituals, language, and symbols travel, shift, and endure.
The exhibition seeks works that foster dialogue, empathy, and understanding- highlighting both the uniqueness of individual experiences and the shared threads that connect communities.
Please note: This exhibition is intended to be cultural, community-centered, and family-friendly. We welcome submissions that are appropriate for audiences of all ages and respectful of diverse cultural traditions and values.
